O ur Estate lies in the middle of the hill country in the immediate vicinity of the well-known cities Oppenhein and Nierstein. The Dolgesheim Vineyard of Biegler-Mueller always achieves maximum awards at the national awards of the Agricultural Chamber of Rhineland Pfalz.

This is the most important wine territory in Germany – Rheinhessen. The special natural conditions play a significant role for the typical character of our wines with a particularly strong harmonious balance between sweet and fruity acidity.

Our comparatively long maturity period in a temperate climate, the interplay of rainfall and sunshine, enable the vine to develop a wide range of valuable trace elements in the berries. On our calcareous clay we produce so velvety, strong red wines and fruity, noble white wines.

According to ancient Egyptian temple paintings and Assyrian documents the art of making wine has been practiced for 3,500 years. Over the centuries, the methods of wine production have become more and more refined. Today we have advanced measures such as biological fertilization, targeted Pruning and careful harvesting goals. These produce only the best qualities in grape, and therefore in wine.

All those who appreciate wine may recognize that it is a very special drink. Nature has bestowed upon it special properties. To live and work with wine is a rewarding, joyful task. The culture of drinking wine in company with good friends is one of life’s greatest blessings.

Yours Sincerely

Reinhold Biegler-Mueller
